Today is Memorial Day, and my family and I just wanted to take the time recognize all the brave men and women who have given their lives to defend our great county.

I know that many of us may not agree on or fully support what tasks are given to our armed forces, but I think to most important thing to remember today is that this county was forged on the strength, determination and courage of those people who were willing to put their lives on the line in order to stand up for what they felt was right.

I personally do not condone war, but I've also had close family members who've had to put their personal goals and aspirations on hold in order to defend our nation, and I stand behind them completely in that role. They did their duty, and I'm proud to live in a country where so many people are willing to do the same.

So, today I thank all of you who serve this nation. We all owe you a debt of gratitude!
